Donnie Yen Ji-dan (Chinese: 甄子丹; born 27 July 1963) is a Hong Kong actor, martial artist, film director, producer, action director and choreographer.. Yen is one of Hong Kong's top action stars. Yen is widely credited for bringing mixed martial arts (MMA) into the mainstream Asian cinema by choreographing MMA in many of his films since the early 2000s. Since Congress in the intervening years had not attempted to explicitly bypass the court’s earlier opinion, the Toolson court declined to overturn its own precedent. The first description of a mermaid comes from Assyria in 1000 BCE. From there mermaids entered Mesopotamian, Greek, and Roman cultures during antiquity, and European and Arabic cultures during the medieval period. At the time Columbus wrote, mermaids had existed in writing and in the collective knowledge base for at least 2,500 years. 2022.01.20 21:09 BonsaiRising Exhaustion after cleaning the home, but not when I exercise.

I do not have a diagnosis of CFS but I have fatigue as my main symptom so I suspect I might have it. Doctors didn't tell me anything more convincing yet
Since I started feeling fatigue more than a decade ago, I would feel exhausted, depending on the day, after a walk, or cleaning, or moving furniture. On a bad day a short walk or buying groceries would be enough to feel exhausted until the next day or more, on a good day I would feel more tired than normal anyway proportionally to the amount of time I "worked".
Now what I have noticed, is that I do NOT feel exhausted in the same way when I do my light exercise program, but if anything more energised. Right now this program consists in 5 sets of 2 minutes of stepping machine after a warm up. I used to do it everyday and then I switched to 3 times a week after a crash of fatigue I had after I pushed myself a little more.
Sometimes I do the step pretty hard, push myself to three minutes, going very fast reaching 120 bpm (that's just as fast as I can go on the stepper). Muscle fatigue comes earlier than anything else.
Intuitively I'd say the stepping exercise is more demanding to my body and muscles than doing some basic house cleaning. Again, sometimes just doing very little exhausts me, like moving a single bookshelf, or cleaning shelves fo ten or fifteen minutes. No matter how slowly I take it, I still end up exhausted after the act.
What does this point to? I am worried about my heart, did echo and ecg and they are negative. Could it be because of mitocondrial function due to CFS? Or what else? Why would I feel somewhat energized when I do my light stepping that rises my heart rate much higher, and tired when I clean which does not? Or does it? My HR does speed up easily when I move around/stand up, I wonder if I could have POTS rather or additionally to CFS.

2022.01.20 21:09 Heisenberg515 [MI] What to expect during another HR interview (may be final) but same person who did the phone screening?

I applied for a job, done with phone screening, did a technical test. Then did technical interview with prospective manager. Then an interview with a c-level executive to what I thought was the final round. Just to know there's yet another HR interview. But I can see from email send, that person who will interview me same as the one did phone screening.
Maybe he got promoted, I don't know.
What should I expect more than "fit" interview type. Also, how to handle salary discussion.
It's worth to mention, I do have some experience, but I am on a career shift, and so applied for job that doesn't state the need for any experience. So I really don't think much of the salary.

2022.01.20 21:09 YouDirtySloot Does anyone else feel like they started learning ACTUAL programming knowledge during their first job?

I’m only under a year into my first Software Engineering role and holy cow the amount of things I’ve realized I didn’t know is through the roof.
Granted, I’m still happy to see a lot of issues and topics I learned during my university years has actually come up. Things like threading, deadlock issues, networking knowledge, and relational database basics have propped up in the various tasks I’ve been assigned. But man if I’m not frustrated at some of the things I can’t believe I never fully understood…
Probably the biggest example being simple Object-Oriented Design principles and vocab. I’ve learned so much on how to ACTUALLY use/understand terms such as “instantiated” or “inheritance,” and have learned just how awfully I was using classes or how I wasn’t separating my work into bite-size functions, legible functions.
Basically, I know it sounds ridiculous, but I feel like during college I only really understood all the foundational stuff at a passing level, but now I’m realizing just how little I truly knew and understood. Did anyone else go through a similar process here? Or is this just a matter of me not grasping the concepts right the first time around?

2022.01.20 21:09 dippy12345 Terrible sore throat

I tested positive 7 days ago and had symptoms for about 4-5 days prior to testing… so I’m guessing I’m on around day 11 or 12 now of having COVID. All my symptoms have gone away except for the WORST sore throat of my life. I had my tonsils removed as an adult and this sore throat is on par with the pain I had in my throat after that surgery. Is anyone else having similar symptoms? Anything that y’all have done to help with it?
